Pearlspotted owlet (think that is what it is called now, but they changed all the names so I am not at all sure)

Baby white rhino

Whitefronted bee-eater

Surveying the lie of the land

All digiscoped with my swarovski ATS80HD straight scope and a loaner Canon EOS 1000D DSLR - thanks Whysalls!
Wow, they are all fantastic shots!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome shots. Can hardly wait until I go there myself with Joan in March. Keep em coming.
ReplyDeleteI love all of your photos!! Such an amazing place...
ReplyDeleteThe owlet is spectacular. I would love to see that little fellow in the wild.
Hey Dale, lovely shots. I apologise for only getting back to you but times have been tough with a lack of birding opportunities with work. I hope your trip in SA is going well. Your pieces on digiscoping are really great. I am up in Bushlands right now enjoying the late Winter birding. From Gorgeous Bush-shrike through to some really interesting mammals like the Tonga Red Squirrel scrambling in and around the Sand Forest patches in Bonamanzi and Bushlands. Enjoy the rest of your trip. Regards Ashwell
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots Dale. Soory I am only getting to this now, but I am way behind on everything again.
ReplyDeleteI cannot decide id the Pearspotted or the leopard is my favourite in this series. Love them both. That looks like a good lunch the ele is having but the baby rhino is the cutest. :)
A WONDERFUL meal and company I had last night. Thank you!! Enjoy the rest of your holday here.
Gaelyn: it is good that Dale is tempting you like this, I just hope I can show you eveything Kruger has to offer too. :)
ReplyDeleteDale this is the link to that guy in the Amazon I was telling you about.

Nice pic of a Leopard. Sheesh, lucky to even see one that well, let alone photograph.
ReplyDeleteI really envy you. Next time you're out in some wilderness camp, braai a boerewors and think of me!
To meet a Leopard is a great emotion:isn't it?
