After a couple of months spent in Africa, it was time to get back to the Alps (and how nice was it to sleep in my own bed again!).
But the big news is that I have just started a new job at Swarovski Optik!
And I am well pleased about (finally) getting a real job and not just that, but doing something I really love to do - think and talk about really cool optical equipment.
Guess I'll end up doing some digiscoping in some really interesting places too!

Dear Richard and Jon: I think I might be able to wangle a staff discount. but then again it is way more fun just to use the development and new products - that way I get that Christmas morning feeling all the time, and I can personally put the products through some serious field tests before I start to try to convince people why they are so great ;-)
Corey! brother! good to hear from you. As for coming to visit - as soon as possible. I'll have to start working on some good reasons... mmm...
